Hey friends, family and followers!.
I am currently in the van outside of a jamspace in edmonton.
The last few days have been an epic rollercoaster for me. We have had some amazing shows in Fort Mac, Calgary, and Edmonton. Bunch of kids at all the shows. Two guys I went to college with came out in Calgary so that’s super dope.
Also, If you havnt heard all the pre-teen buzz, The Artist Life have sold out and announced they we are doing a HUGE cross canada tour all november and december. (Please check events page).
On another note, I had a friend take his own life last week and it’s got me thinking quite a bit.
He had a large amount of friends and family who have been left behind. Such a tragedy.
We have some time today to do fun, so hopefully I get to do some.
Brb
Holla!!
Right now we are well into the giant drive that is Toronto to Winnipeg. We drove til about 2 am last night then crashed in a truck parking lot next to the keith Urban World tour.
Trying to sleep in a truck yard is near impossible it is so loud. We started driving again today at about 6 am and minus a few stops at dollarama and the mall we have been driving since.
The last few days have been nuts! We played a great show in Ottawa and a HUGE show in Quebec, and yesterday we filmed day 2 of the degrassi movie.
I got some new storage for my bunk area so I’m pretty stoked and organized today.
An hour into our trip yesterday we thought our wheel was falling off and started stressing huge but after a few stops we narrowed the problem down to some flap of metal moving from the wind.
I’m really stoked to get playin my boom booms tomorrow and to get to Vancity and see my homie for life Sean and the rest of the A Trophy Life band. And for whatever else the west has to offer at this time of year.
I’m going to be adding some photos to the flickr feed as I fade in and out of reception so look for those as well as maybe a twit vid or two through the day.
More soon
Hey friends!!
I’m currently driving to Quebec city to play a wicked big show tonight with Silverstein, Ten Second Epic, and A Wilhelm Scream! So its looking like it could be a sweet show.
Yesterday I shot all day for the Degrassi movie! I play drums in the big time hot indie band “flashing midnight” haha so look for that next year. The shoot was at much music so that was pretty dope.
I got to meet so many super sick people, Tim, Marvin, oh and Jessi Cruickshank from MTV… She was super cool! She told me her favorite bands are The Constentines, and The Weakerthans. Little bit of shinfo for ya (shitty-info)
After we wrapped we drove 6 hours to MTL to wonder around and hang out! I went for a walk with Rich from Shotgun Rules who is on tour with us!
Myself and rick slept in the van last night and we left a window open and woke up soooo cold.
Today I am wearing long johns, I am so cold!
Rick is driving, ian is booze bedding it, chuck is shotgun, and dean and I are on our respective benches trying to maximize our technologies.
We really need new windshield wipers!!!
I havnt seen the site in a few days so hopefully its still working!

I have this checklist saved on my computer and revise it each time according to the length of the tour and the season as well as with any new and fun ideas I have.
To bring all this stuff I have 1 small suitcase for clothes, sleeping bag, ect. 1 toolbox full of food and drinks. And a backpack (mostly empty) with small things such as phone charger, camera, ect.
The point is to keep your food and clothes in the van and load into your backpack in the morning what you need for the day. Drinks, snacks, show clothes ect.

Ok so I have had the new WordPress application for the Blackberry for a few weeks now and have used it to my full ability.
Initially I would like to note that simply having this application has significantly increased my blogging and my impressions online.
However, The app is very minimal and has many limitations I would like to see expanded over the next few updates.
Pro’s
This is the only blogging app for the Blackberry
Simple layout, easy to learn, and understand.
Easy fast real time sync with blog.
When an upload is complete or fails it is very clear. Sometimes being away from your computer to check the post is nerve racking but I experienced no complications.
Con’s
Does not interact with sociable plugins
Adding images to the blog is slightly difficult. Images can be set to re-size automatically but to only one size. Manual coding can only be done after a post is submitted and re-edited. ie. after I blog with a picture I have to submit it, then re open it and physically change to code to a smaller size image to adhere to the aesthetic standards of my site.
To add an image to a blog from the SD memory card of the BB you just go through like 6 drop down menu’s. This could be way simpler.
I’m sure on the iphone most of these functions work more efficiently
Here is a screen shot of the interface
Tour re-cap and Family photos
Posted by admin on Monday Aug 24, 2009 Under epkhosting, UncategorizedHey everyone. I’m home from another tour, Alive and somewhat well. I currently have “the weirds” and am crawling about my apartment trying to gather some sort of composure.
I had a lot of fun on this last tour. It was great getting to know The Snips and having the chance to listen to them play every night. They are a really great band and their new material is better than ever. Meeting other bands and friends on tour is pretty much the reason I love doing it. I had great conversations and learned a lot for almost all of these guys and will consider them all life long friends.
I would also like to point out that The Snips are AMAZING at Touring. They have a food container called “the hope bin”? or something and the use a hibachi every day and make wicked shit. Well Bob does, lol. They also seem to get to go swimming almost everyday which is super cool.
It is customary on every tour that you take a group photo at the end of the tour. We took Several hahah
I will have a big tour announcement this week, so check back for that.

I’m currently on my way to Montreal, or Montunreal as I like to call it. We had a great night last night in QC after our show. Ian got naked and bathed in a fountain in the middle of a park.
I snapped these shots in this ally that was so perfectly lit for artsy photos. I wish I had my actual camera, they probly would have been insane. The guys in the pix are from the band we are on tour with “The Snips”
Also, on the way to QC Ian and I saw a sign for the worlds longest covered bridge. So we pulled off the highway and headed to the bridge. We drove across it twice and I got some neat photos.
I got bored along the way and made my leg look like a dick. Take that pete wentz.
